What brought you into skin care?

I think you have to genuinely like people to do this work well. For me, it was never only about skin or beauty. I have always been drawn to work where I can take care of someone and make a difference in how they feel.

There is a moment I still love after all these years — when a client gets up after a treatment and you can see that something has shifted. Yes, their skin looks fresh and glowing, but they look different too. A little lighter, a little more relaxed. For an hour, they stopped thinking about work, family, schedules, and everything waiting for them outside. They had time that was simply theirs. I never get tired of seeing that.

What is your philosophy when it comes to skin care?

I always tell my clients: you already have enough things to manage in your life. Your skin care should not become another full-time job.

You shouldn’t have to spend hours walking through beauty aisles, comparing twenty serums, scrolling through endless advice, or trying to figure out which new trend actually applies to your skin. That is what we are here for.

I want to know your skin, understand what you want to achieve, create a plan that makes sense for your life, and continue adjusting it as your skin and your needs change. When you come to Spa Rejuv, I want you to be able to relax and know that someone is paying attention. We know you. We know your skin. And we guide you.

How do you decide which treatment is best for someone?

People sometimes ask me what my favorite treatment is. My answer is always the same: the one that is right for the person in front of me.

I don’t believe everyone needs the same facial, the same technology, or a complicated ten-step routine. Sometimes the skin needs more; sometimes it needs less. My job is to look at the whole picture — your skin today, your goals, your lifestyle, what you are doing at home — and decide what actually makes sense for you.

One of my favorite parts of this work is seeing what consistency can do. With regular treatments, thoughtful home care, and tools such as VISIA imaging, we can follow those changes over time. And there is something very rewarding about looking back together and realizing, yes, your skin really has changed.

What keeps you excited about the industry after so many years?

Education. Absolutely.

I love going to conferences and advanced trainings because I always come back energized and full of ideas. Our industry never stands still. Today, the conversation is becoming much broader — skin care is increasingly connected with wellness, longevity, prevention, stress management, and how we feel in our everyday lives. I find that evolution fascinating.

I also think the way we view self-care is changing. A facial or massage shouldn’t be something you allow yourself once a year for your birthday or Christmas. We live busy, demanding lives. Having time to reset, take care of yourself, and spend an hour when nobody needs anything from you shouldn’t feel like an indulgence. It should simply be part of the way we take care of ourselves.

What do you hope clients feel when they come to Spa Rejuv?

Taken care of.

That is probably the simplest way I can say it. I want you to come in, exhale, and let us take care of the details. Your treatment has a purpose. Your home care has a purpose. We remember your skin, we follow your progress, and when something needs to change, we change it.

The goal is not to give you more things to think about. It is actually the opposite — to make this part of your life easier, so you can spend more of your time and energy on your family, your work, yourself, and the things you genuinely enjoy.

What inspires you outside of the treatment room?

One of the unexpected gifts of this profession is that you spend your days with people — and people are endlessly interesting.

I have clients with such different backgrounds, interests, and experiences that I feel like I am constantly being introduced to something new. They tell me about the latest Broadway show I absolutely have to see, an exhibition I shouldn’t miss, a voice class, a painting course, a retreat, a new wellness practice, or something I had never even heard of before. At this point, my list of things I want to experience is considerably longer than the number of free days I have in a year.

So I have my clients to thank for keeping me curious — and permanently overbooked in my imagination.

When I do manage to escape, nature is my favorite way to reset. I love traveling through America’s national parks and hiking whenever I have the opportunity. And then there is New York and Broadway, which is an entirely different kind of escape. Somewhere between a long trail and a great theater performance is probably my perfect balance.

What brought you into the world of skincare?

My journey into aesthetics began when I started working as a consultant and sales specialist for a company supplying professional skincare products to beauty salons.

Through that experience, I got to know many sides of the beauty industry, traveled to trade shows around the United States, and learned a great deal about professional skincare.

Over time, I realized that I wanted to work directly with clients and see how products and treatments truly work on the skin. My background gave me a strong understanding of the professional skincare market, while working one-on-one with clients allows me to see the real results.

What do you love most about working with clients?

I genuinely enjoy talking with people and getting to know them.

For me, a good treatment starts with understanding the person in front of me—their skin, lifestyle, concerns, and expectations.

I also like explaining treatments and skincare products in a clear and simple way. There are so many options available today, and I want my clients to understand why I am recommending something and how it can help their skin.

What is your approach to skincare?

I love combining traditional, well-established esthetic techniques with modern technology.

I enjoy adjusting treatments and combining different steps depending on what a particular skin needs. I don’t believe every client needs the same facial or the same routine.

My goal is always to find the right balance between professional knowledge, traditional techniques, modern technology, and the individual needs of each client.

What is your philosophy when it comes to healthy skin?

Patience and consistency.

We often expect immediate results, but meaningful changes usually take time. Understanding ingredients, using the right products consistently, and making thoughtful adjustments along the way can make a real difference.

I believe skincare should support healthy skin and healthy aging—not chase perfection.

How do you decide which treatment is right for someone?

It starts with a conversation.

I want to know what a client is using at home, what concerns them about their skin, what they hope to achieve, and whether they are open to making changes to their routine.

Then we can decide what makes the most sense. Sometimes it is an advanced treatment, and sometimes a small change at home can make a bigger difference than expected.

What is your favorite treatment?

Chemical peels are one of my favorites because of how precise and customizable they can be.

Depending on the skin and the client’s goals, they can help with concerns such as pigmentation, texture, breakouts, or signs of aging.

I love seeing how the right peel, chosen for the right person, can create beautiful changes over time.

What keeps you excited about this industry?

The fact that it is always changing.

There are constantly new technologies, ingredients, and treatments, and I enjoy learning about them. At the same time, I believe it is important not to forget the value of traditional techniques and basic skincare knowledge.

For me, the most exciting approach is being able to combine both.

What do you hope clients feel when they come to Spa Rejuv?

I hope they feel relaxed, cared for, and recharged.

I also hope they leave with a better understanding of their skin and, if changes are needed, the motivation to make them step by step.

Sometimes progress starts with something as simple as changing a moisturizer. 😊

What inspires you outside of the treatment room?

Outside of work, I try to find a healthy balance between my professional and personal life.

I enjoy exploring psychology, playing the piano, and taking long walks with my dog.

Most importantly, I am a mom to two wonderful daughters.

Life is busy, but those things help me stay grounded and remind me to make time for what matters.

What brought you into massage therapy, and what do you enjoy most about it?

I chose massage therapy because I enjoy helping people feel better — not only physically, but also mentally and emotionally. For me, massage is more than a service; it is a way to help people take care of themselves.

One of the most rewarding parts of my work is seeing the difference a session can make. A client may come in feeling tense, stressed, or uncomfortable and leave feeling lighter, more relaxed, and happier.

Knowing that I can make that difference, even within one hour, is what makes this profession so meaningful to me.

How do you approach each massage?

I have learned that every body is different, so I never believe in taking exactly the same approach with every client.

I start by listening — where you feel tension or discomfort, what kind of pressure you prefer, and what you want to achieve from your session. From there, I can adjust the treatment and choose the techniques that make the most sense for you.

My training includes therapeutic and deep tissue massage, medical back massage, prenatal and sports massage, cupping, Gua Sha, and Ayurvedic-inspired techniques for relaxation. I like having different techniques available because sometimes the body needs focused therapeutic work, and sometimes it simply needs an opportunity to slow down and relax.

What is important to you in the relationship between a therapist and a client?

Communication and trust.

I want my clients to feel comfortable telling me what they need — whether that means changing the pressure, spending more time on a particular area, or adjusting something during the treatment.

I pay attention to the details because sometimes a small adjustment can make a big difference in how someone feels. The best massage is not something I simply do to a client. It is something we create together.

What keeps you growing as a massage therapist?

I believe learning never stops, especially in health and wellness. Continuing education has already introduced me to many different approaches to massage, and I want to keep expanding that knowledge.

My goal is to grow further into medical and therapeutic massage and continue developing the skills that allow me to provide more specialized care. I would also love to collaborate more with other healthcare and wellness professionals in the future.

For me, becoming a better therapist is an ongoing process. There is always another technique to learn and another way to understand the body.
